Destination Imagination (DI) is an international program that focuses on creative problem solving in a team work setting. There are two focuses of the program: the Instant Challenge, which is a team work required “problem” that requires a solution during a limited time period and with limited materials, and the Central Challenge, which is a team work required “problem” that requires a solution that is to be worked out for an extended period of time (usually 6 to 8 weeks) with more open materials. We have been running this program at PASB for the last 6 years and it has even become integrated into the regular school day curriculum through Flex and Electives – an opportunity unique to our school here in Brazil. It continues to grow each year and there is often more interest in the program than adults to support the student involvement.
